About CETPredict.in

Our Mission

Every year, lakhs of students across Maharashtra appear for the MHT CET examination with the hope of securing admission to a quality engineering college. Yet when results arrive, most students face an overwhelming challenge: understanding their percentile, navigating the complex CAP (Centralized Admission Process) round system, and figuring out which colleges they are actually eligible for — across hundreds of institutions, dozens of branches, and multiple reservation categories.

CETPredict.in was built with a single mission: to eliminate the confusion and anxiety from this process. We provide free, data-driven tools that help MHT CET aspirants make informed decisions about their engineering college admissions. Whether you scored a 99 percentile or a 55 percentile, whether you belong to the OPEN category or qualify for TFWS — our platform gives you a clear, personalized picture of where you stand and which colleges are within your reach.

What We Offer

CETPredict.in is not just a simple predictor. It is a comprehensive admission planning platform that brings together multiple tools and data sources to give you everything you need in one place.

Our College Predictor is the core of our platform. Enter your MHT CET percentile (or rank), select your reservation category and gender, choose your preferred branches and cities, and the predictor instantly generates a personalized list of engineering colleges categorized as Safe, Moderate, or Reach based on historical cutoff data. This helps you understand your chances at each college before the CAP rounds even begin.

Our Cutoff Data Explorer gives you direct access to the complete cutoff dataset — over 99,000 records covering 368 colleges, 103 branches, and all reservation categories. You can search, filter, and sort by college name, branch, seat type, percentile, or rank. This is the raw data that powers our predictor, made fully accessible for students who want to do their own analysis.

Every college in our database has a dedicated college page that brings together all the information you need: branch-wise cutoff tables across all categories and CAP rounds, the college's status (Government, Government-Aided, Private, etc.), city, district, and university affiliation. These pages serve as a one-stop reference when you are evaluating a specific institution.

We also integrate NIRF ranking data from the National Institutional Ranking Framework, published by the Ministry of Education, Government of India. NIRF rankings evaluate colleges based on teaching quality, research output, graduation outcomes, inclusivity, and public perception. By displaying NIRF data alongside cutoff information, we help students balance admission feasibility with institutional reputation — a critical factor in making a wise college choice.

Our Data Sources

Transparency about our data sources is fundamental to our credibility. Here is exactly where our data comes from:

  • Cutoff and Admission Data: All cutoff percentiles, merit numbers, and seat allotment data are compiled from the official CAP (Centralized Admission Process) round results published by the State Common Entrance Test Cell, Maharashtra (cetcell.mahacet.org). This includes data from CAP Rounds 1 through 4 for the most recent available admission cycle.
  • NIRF Rankings: Institutional rankings and scores are sourced from the official National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) published by the Ministry of Education, Government of India (nirfindia.org). We display the Engineering category rankings for Maharashtra-based institutions.
  • College Information: College names, codes, statuses (Government, Government-Aided, Private Unaided, Autonomous, etc.), branch offerings, and location data are compiled from official DTE Maharashtra publications and CAP allotment documents.

Important: Our data is updated periodically and may not always reflect the very latest changes. We strongly encourage all users to cross-verify any information on CETPredict.in with the official State CET Cell and DTE Maharashtra portals before making final admission decisions. If you notice any data discrepancy, please report it to us so we can investigate and correct it promptly.

Our Story

CETPredict.in was built by engineering students and alumni who went through the MHT CET admission process themselves and experienced firsthand how confusing, stressful, and opaque the system can be. Scattered data across dozens of PDF documents, no easy way to compare colleges across categories and branches, and limited time to make life-changing decisions — these are the problems we set out to solve. What started as a personal project to help friends and juniors has grown into a platform used by thousands of students across Maharashtra every admission season.
