Terms of Service
Last updated: June 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the CETPredict.in website (the "Website") and all services, tools, and content provided therein, including but not limited to the MHT CET College Predictor, cutoff data explorer, NIRF ranking viewer, college information pages, and blog resources (collectively, the "Services"). By accessing or using the Website, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the Website.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing, browsing, or using CETPredict.in, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you are using the Website on behalf of a minor (such as a parent or guardian assisting a student), you accept these Terms on their behalf.
2. Description of Service
CETPredict.in provides the following educational tools and resources free of charge:
- MHT CET College Predictor: A tool that accepts your MHT CET percentile, reservation category, gender, branch preferences, and location preferences to generate a personalized list of engineering colleges you may be eligible for, based on historical CAP (Centralized Admission Process) round cutoff data from previous admission cycles.
- Cutoff Data Explorer: A searchable, filterable database of MHT CET closing percentiles and merit numbers organized by college, branch, category, and CAP round.
- College Information Pages: Dedicated pages for each engineering college in Maharashtra, displaying branch-wise cutoffs, location, status, and other relevant details.
- NIRF Data Viewer: Rankings and institutional data sourced from the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) published by the Ministry of Education, Government of India.
- Blog & Resources: Educational guides on topics such as percentile calculation, CAP round strategy, and college preference list building.
Important: All predictions and college suggestions generated by our tools are estimates based on previous years' cutoff data. They are not guarantees of admission to any college or program. Actual cutoffs vary from year to year based on exam difficulty, number of applicants, seat availability, and policy changes by the Directorate of Technical Education (DTE) Maharashtra.
3. User Responsibilities
As a user of CETPredict.in, you agree to:
- Use the Website only for lawful, personal, non-commercial purposes related to your educational planning.
- Not attempt to extract data from the Website through automated means (scraping, crawling, or using bots) without our explicit written permission.
- Not interfere with the proper functioning of the Website, including attempting to bypass any security measures, overload the servers, or inject malicious code.
- Not reproduce, redistribute, or commercially exploit any content, data, or tools from the Website without our prior written consent.
- Verify all predictions and cutoff data with official sources before making any admission-related decisions.
4. Accuracy Disclaimer
This is the most critical section of these Terms. The data presented on CETPredict.in — including cutoff percentiles, merit numbers, college details, and NIRF rankings — is compiled from publicly available sources, primarily the official CAP round results published by the State Common Entrance Test Cell, Maharashtra, and the NIRF framework published by the Ministry of Education, Government of India.
While we make every reasonable effort to ensure accuracy, we cannot guarantee that all data is complete, current, or error-free. Data entry errors, formatting inconsistencies in source documents, or updates to official data after our last refresh may result in discrepancies.
All data, predictions, and recommendations on CETPredict.in are provided for informational and reference purposes only. Users must independently verify all information with official sources — including the DTE Maharashtra website (dte.org.in), the State CET Cell portal (cetcell.mahacet.org), and individual college websites — before making any admission-related decisions.
We strongly encourage users to report any data errors or inconsistencies they notice through our Contact Us page so we can investigate and correct them promptly.
5. Intellectual Property
The Website's design, layout, code, algorithms, branding, logos, text content, blog articles, and any original tools or features are the intellectual property of CETPredict.in. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works based on our proprietary content without our explicit written permission.
The underlying cutoff data is sourced from publicly available government publications and is not claimed as our proprietary content. However, our specific compilation, organization, indexing, and presentation of this data — including our predictor algorithms — are protected.
6. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, CETPredict.in, its creators, contributors, and affiliates shall not be held liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from:
- Your use of or inability to use the Website or its Services.
- Any decisions you make based on predictions, cutoff data, or other information provided by the Website.
- Any errors, omissions, or inaccuracies in the data or predictions.
- Any unauthorized access to or alteration of your data or transmissions.
- Any interruption, suspension, or discontinuation of the Website or any part of its Services.
You acknowledge that CETPredict.in is an educational guidance tool and that all admission decisions are ultimately governed by the rules and processes of DTE Maharashtra and the respective educational institutions.
